You Can't Heal a Wound That You Ignore
I remember going back to work just a few days after my first miscarriage, wearing a mask of normalcy that felt foreign and uncomfortable. Colleagues would ask how I was doing, and I would smile and reply, "I'm fine, thank you." But inside, I was anything but fine.

After a miscarriage, it often takes the body several weeks, or even months, to adjust to its new reality. Some of us wish that our bodies could just go back to the way they were before, in hopes of regaining some sense of normalcy. This sentiment opens the door to a whole new level of body image struggles; the feeling that your body has betrayed you.
